Thinking about "Don't you feel small" and Janet's reference to "Little Britain" reminds me to remark that of course part of the official name of this nation is in fact "Great Britain". This name was bestowed upon us by the French. Not that this is a highly unexpected recogition by our truculent neighbours of our innate "greatness" - le bon Dieu nous protege! - but to distinguish us from the French region of Bretagne. So pedantically speaking, I suppose it is really Brittany that is Little Britain :-) .

But don't change a thing, Janet! This blog is great the way it is!

This is very well noted, Howard...I never thought about Little Britain actually being Brittany! I have some good friends from that part of France and would like to get to know that region better.
