"We Are Family" - Sister Sledge, 1979
John's mum Anne has spent this weekend with us -- our first weekend visitor to our new home! We've had a terrific time. I thought Lord Celery's readers might enjoy a few photos taken today. (As usual, click on any of the photos for a full-sized version.)
Here's Anne, relaxing in our living room.
And here's my John...resting his injured neck in a supportive collar.
Anne and I took a walk in the village this afternoon. Near our house, we came across some beautiful passion flowers. (I have some young vines growing in our back garden, but it will be some time before they produce flowers this beautiful!)

I can't wait to try his Nasi Goreng! One of my favorite meals.
Janet...I've just discovered your wonderful blog...you are a natural-born writer. Congratulations on your lovely new home and on getting all the boxes out of the dining room!
I also must confess that through your photos I have fallen in love with the village. Am glad I'll be able to keep up with the local news (there was a certain charm to the first bus shelter).
Bronx Boy: You and your lovely wife should come over the pond and see us, and I KNOW John would happily cook for you two also!
Juliette: Glad you've found my blog, and I hope you continue to come back to visit from time to time!
Janet
