"Just Wondering" - Truman, 2004

BBC news reports keep referring to the "Democrat" convention going on now in Denver, Colorado. That sounds strange to me, as I've always called it the Democratic convention.

But, then again, we don't say the "Republican-ic" convention, do we?

I feel so sorry for people learning English as a foreign language. It's so complicated, isn't it?

I believe Rush Limbaugh started referring to the Democratic Party as the Democrat Party believing there is nothing "democratic" about the party at all.

Bronx Boy, I guess I can assume that you're not glued to the TV, watching every second of the DemocratIC Convention?

Janet,
I am more glued to the internet for the news and analysis of what is said at the convention. Unlike previous elections I will not be in the Elephant's camp this year.
Change is good (sometimes).
